Mindanao is set to welcome two world-class hotels as Dusit International, one of Thailand’s leading hotel and property development companies, announces plans to expand its presence in the Philippines.
In partnership with IDC Prime, a subsidiary of Italpinas Development Corporation, Dusit International will manage two new properties under its Dusit Princess brand, blending sustainable development with gracious Thai hospitality. These new hotels will rise in key locations in Northern Mindanao—Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, and Cagayan de Oro City—slated for completion in late 2029.
Nestled within the picturesque Moena Mountain Estate in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, Dusit Princess Moena promises to deliver an exceptional blend of comfort, sustainability, and natural beauty.
This 184-key hotel will harmonize with its surroundings, providing guests with stunning views of the lush mountains near Mount Kitanglad Range Natural Park. With premium facilities like a lobby lounge, business center, all-day dining restaurant, outdoor pool, gym, yoga room, and a versatile multipurpose area, it is designed to cater to both business and leisure travelers.
Bukidnon, known as the “Baguio of Mindanao,” is already a hotspot for eco-tourism. Dusit Princess Moena will further enhance its charm by complementing nearby attractions such as the Dahilayan Adventure Park and Del Monte Pineapple plantations, making it a prime destination for nature lovers and thrill-seekers.
In the heart of Cagayan de Oro, Dusit Princess Firenze will be a crowning feature of the Firenze Green Tower in the Limketkai area, a vibrant hub for commerce and leisure.
This 14-storey mixed-use green development will house 180 hotel rooms on its upper floors, offering stunning city views and convenient access to CDO’s bustling commercial and business districts. Guests can enjoy facilities such as a gym, spa, swimming pool, and multipurpose spaces, ensuring a memorable stay for both business and leisure travelers.
As the “Adventure Capital of the Philippines,” Cagayan de Oro’s fast-growing tourism and business sectors make it the perfect location for a property of this caliber. The hotel’s integration into a green development aligns with the city’s progressive and eco-conscious vision.
Dusit International’s collaboration with IDC Prime reflects a shared commitment to sustainability and innovation. Gilles Cretallaz, Chief Operating Officer of Dusit International, emphasized, “With IDC Prime’s shared commitment to sustainability and positive impact, we are excited to bring our distinctive Thai-inspired gracious hospitality to these vibrant Mindanao destinations.”
IDC Prime’s CEO and Chairman, Arch. Romolo Nati, echoed the sentiment, highlighting the transformative potential of these projects: “Partnering with Dusit to bring world-class hotels to Cagayan de Oro and Bukidnon is a natural extension of our vision.”
The addition of Dusit Princess Moena and Dusit Princess Firenze underscores Mindanao’s growing appeal as a travel destination. These hotels are set to elevate the tourism experience in Northern Mindanao, offering unparalleled comfort, sustainable practices, and memorable experiences.
Dusit International continues to expand its global footprint, with over 300 properties in 19 countries, including five already operating in the Philippines. With these new additions, Dusit reinforces its commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality and creating lasting value for the communities it serves.
Stay tuned as Mindanao prepares to welcome these remarkable developments!
